Itinerary
Day 1 Sat: Alice Springs
You will be met at Alice Springs Airport (flights to arrive prior to
1.00pm) or at the AAT Kings Office, 74 Todd Street, at 1.30pm. Enjoy a guided tour of the
town visiting the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Alice Springs Telegraph Station and
take in the panoramic views of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill. This evening enjoy a welcome
drink with your crew and fellow travelling companions.

Day 2 Sun: Tanami Track
Traverse the ever-changing scenery of the remote Tanami Desert. Pass The
Granites and Rabbit Flat, Australia's most remote outback roadhouse.

Day 3 Mon: Wolfe Creek
Cross into Western Australia, visit Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater and see
the remnants of Old Halls Creek.

Day 4 Tue: Geikie Gorge
The red rock formations of the Kimberley become apparent today on the
journey to Fitzroy River. Enjoy an afternoon cruise through Geikie Gorge (dry season
only).

Day 5 Wed: Broome
Our journey continues westward to the historic pearling port of Broome.

Day 6 Thu: Broome at leisure
A free day for you to explore Broome. (B)
Day 7 Fri: Derby
Travel to Derby to see the Boab Prison Tree, then deep into the Kimberley.
Inspect the unusual formation at Tunnel Creek (conditions permitting).

Day 8 Sat: Kimberley Gorges
Take an early morning walk through impressive Windjana Gorge. Crossing the
King Leopold Range travel along the Gibb River Road.

Day 9 Sun: El Questro Wilderness Park
Journey through some of the most rugged terrain of the Kimberley to El
Questro Wilderness Park.

Day 10 Mon: El Questro
Today is free for you to explore El Questro Wilderness Park. Ask your Tour
Director for details on optional tours. (BLD)
Day 11 Tue: Kununurra
Enjoy a guided walk through Emma Gorge this morning. This afternoon
continue to Kununurra.

Day 12: Wed Lake Argyle
Tour the Kununurra region visiting the Durack Homestead and enjoy a scenic
cruise on Lake Argyle. (BD)
Day 13 Thu: Katherine
Depart Kununurra and cross the border into the Northern Territory. Heading
east travel via Timber Creek and traverse large cattle stations to the township of
Katherine. Enjoy a late afternoon cruise through spectacular Katherine Gorge, with a
chance to see freshwater crocodiles sunning themselves on the riverbanks and many species
of birds.

Day 14 Fri: Litchfield Darwin
This morning travel via the gold mining town Pine Creek to Adelaide River.
Visit the Adelaide River War Cemetery, a site dedicated to the World War II air raids on
Darwin. Continue along the Stuart Highway to the tropical haven of Litchfield National
Park. Time will be available for you to relax, before continuing to Darwin.

Day 15 Sat: Depart Darwin
You will be transferred to Darwin Airport to connect with your onward
