Itinerary

Day 1 Tue: Hobart/Russell Falls/Queenstown

Depart Hobart at 8.00am. Follow the Derwent Valley to Mt Field National Park. Walk through the rainforest to Russell Falls. Travel to Lake St Clair in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, before crossing the Franklin River. Continue to Queenstown. Tonight enjoy a welcome drink with your Tour Director.

Accommodation: Chancellor Inn or Silver Hills Motel, Queenstown.

Day 2 Wed: Gordon River Cruise

This morning enjoy a cruise along the Gordon River. Cross the Macquarie Harbour and pass through Hell's Gates, the entrance to the harbour. See 2000 year old Huon Pines at Heritage Landing, before cruising back to Strahan. This afternoon travel to picturesque Tullah.

Day 3 Thu: Cradle Mountain National Park/Burnie

Journey to Cradle Mountain National Park. View Lake Dove and the jagged peaks of Cradle Mountain. Visit Waldheim Chalet, the Visitor Centre and the Australian National Wilderness and Landscape Gallery. Continue to the coastal town of Burnie.

Day 4 Fri: The Nut/Stanley

Travel along the coast to Table Cape and Boat Harbour. Visit the massive promontory known as The Nut, which dominates the village of Stanley. This afternoon enjoy a stroll through Allendale Gardens.

Day 5 Sat: Sheffield/ Launceston

This morning visit Sheffield,the town of murals. Stop at the Ashgrove Farm cheese factoryto see the production process in operation and then visit Entally House. This afternoon visit Cataract Gorge, before arriving in Launceston.

Day 6 Sun: Depart Launceston

Your tour concludes after breakfast this morning. You will be transferred to Launceston Airport to connect with your onward flight (flights to depart prior to 1.00pm). (B)
