Day 1: Uluru (Ayers Rock) – Kata Tjuta (Olgas)

On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to your hotel (flight to arrive prior to 1.00pm). In the afternoon, travel to Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a 2-3 hour walk through the fascinating domes to the Valley of the Winds (for those with a good level of fitness). Later enjoy an 'outback' sunset followed by a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort – choice of accommodation, 2 nights. (D)

Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock)

This morning there is the option to do the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Base Walk (Y41). Both tours include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. This evening enjoy sunset at Uluru with nibbles and a glass of wine.Day 3: Ayers Rock Resort – Kings Canyon

In the morning relax or join an optional tour. In the afternoon travel to Kings Canyon. There may be time to view the sun set on arrival. Accommodation: Kings Canyon Resort – Spa Rooms (YK48S), Rangeview Rooms (YK48R, YK48F) or Kings Canyon Lodge (YK48L).

Day 4: Kings Canyon

This morning join your guide for the rocky climb to the canyon rim for superb views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness, supportive footwear essential). Alternatively explore the canyon floor (an easier, shady walk). Travel on to Alice Springs or back to Ayers Rock Resort this afternoon.

Note: During the hotter months, part of the Valley of the Winds walk and the Kings Canyon rim climb may not be available in hot weather conditions. Alternative itineraries on Day 1 and/or Day 4 may apply.

Departs:    Daily (except Fri) 2.15pm (Apr – Sep), 3.00pm (Oct – Mar) from Ayers Rock Resort

Concludes:    7.15pm approximately in Alice Springs or 5.00pm at Ayers Rock Resort
