Highlights Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park Kings CanyonDay 1: Uluru (Ayers Rock) Kata Tjuta (Olgas)On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to your hotel (flight to arrive prior to 1.00pm). This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a 2-3 hour walk through the domes to the Valley of the Winds (for those with a good level of fitness). Enjoy an 'outback' sunset followed by a glass of sparkling wine and nibbles. Travel to our BBQ venue to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing (weather permitting). Enquire about vegetarian meals. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort choice of accommodation, 2 nights. (D) Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock)This morning there is the option to do the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Base Walk (Y41). Both tours include sunrise at Uluru, a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. See page 19 for more itinerary details. This evening view sunset and the changing colours of Uluru whilst enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine. Day 3: Kings Canyon Alice SpringsTravel to Kings Canyon. Climb to the canyon rim for superb views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness, supportive footwear essential). Alternatively explore the canyon floor (an easier, shady walk). Travel to Alice Springs this afternoon. Note: During the hotter months, part of the Valley of the Winds walk and the Kings Canyon rim climb may not be available in hot weather conditions. Alternative itineraries on Day 1 and/or Day 3 may apply. |
