Day 1: Kata Tjuta (Olgas) – Uluru (Ayers Rock)

On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport (flight to arrive prior to 1.00pm) you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is spent touring Kata Tjuta, the 36 domes that dominate the western skyline. Explore the conglomerate rock at Walpa Gorge before travelling to the sunset viewing area to enjoy nibbles and a glass of wine whilst watching the effect of the setting sun on the colour of Uluru. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort – choice of accommodation.On Day 1 there is the option to upgrade from the afternoon Kata Tjuta and Uluru Sunset Tour (Y13) to the Kata Tjuta Valley of the Winds Walk, Sunset and Barbecue Dinner Tour (Y14), at an extra cost.

Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) – Alice Springs

This morning there is the option to do the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Base Walk (Y41). Both tours include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. The first option allows time for climbing, whilst the second option includes a longer guided walk at the base of Uluru. Time is available for those keen to take an optional helicopter flight (own expense). The coach departs for Alice Springs this afternoon.
