Itinerary
Day 1 Fri: Windjana Gorge
Depart Broome at 8.00am. Travel to the port of Derby, situated on the edge of the King
Sound. Visit the famous Boab Prison Tree, used by the first police as an overnight holding
cell. Inspect the unusual formation at Tunnel Creek, where a stream flows through a
natural subterranean passage in the ranges (conditions permitting). Continue to Windjana
Gorge, with its tall black cliffs, for overnight camp. Tonight enjoy a welcome drink. Bush

Day 2 Sat: Kimberley Gorges
Take an early morning walk through impressive Windjana Gorge. Cross the King Leopold
Range and travel along the Gibb River Road. Explore a gorge, with time for a refreshing
swim. Bush Camp: Manning Gorge Area. (BLD)
Day 3 Sun: El Questro
Journey through some of the most rugged terrain of the Kimberley.Pass gorges, creeks
and waterholes, crossing many riverbeds includingthe Durack River, on our way to the
outback cattle station of El Questro Wilderness Park, spanning overone million acres. Camp:
El Questro Wilderness Park,2 nights. (BLD)
Day 4 Mon: El Questro
Today is free for you to exploreEl Questro Wilderness Park. Select from a number of
optional tours such as scenic helicopter flights, horse riding or a cruise on the
Chamberlain Gorge, a fresh waterhole abounded by tropical vegetation. Alternatively, you
may prefer to simply relax and soak up the magical atmosphere of El Questro Wilderness

Day 5 Tue: Kununurra
Enjoy a guided walk through Emma Gorge this morning, where you will be rewarded with a
refreshing swim in the waterhole. Later, take in the superb scenery of the Cockburn Range
en route to the township of Kununurra. Camp: Kununurra, 2 nights. (BLD)
Day 6 Wed: Lake Argyle
Tour the Kununurra region, visiting the Durack Homestead and enjoy a wildlife spotting
cruise on man-made Lake Argyle. (BD)
Day 7 Thu: Katherine
Depart Kununurra and travel across the Northern Territory border to Katherine. Enjoy a
late afternoon cruise through spectacular Katherine Gorge. Camp: Katherine. (BLD)
Day 8 Fri: Litchfield Darwin
This morning travel via the gold mining town Pine Creek to Adelaide River. Visit the
Adelaide River War Cemetery, a site dedicated to the World War II air raids on Darwin.
Continue along the Stuart Highway to the tropical haven of Litchfield National Park. Time
will be available for you to relax and experience the wonder of the surroundings, before

INDEPENDENT TOURING DAYS 9 - 11
Day 9 Sat: Kakadu National Park
Join your local Driver/Guide this morning. Travel via the Adelaide River into Kakadu
National Park. View Aboriginal rock art at Nourlangie Rock, cruise famous Yellow Water
Billabong and visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Accommodation: Kakadu
Resort. (BL)
Day 10 Sun: Arnhem Land
This morning travel to Ubirr where you will have the chance to climb to the top and
view ancient Aboriginal rock art, believed to be 20,000 years old. Enjoy the relaxing Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator
River. View crocodiles and wonderful birdlife. Special permission has been obtained for an
included visit to Arnhem Land. This afternoon inspect the Bowali Visitor Centre. Return to
Darwin. Accommodation: Mirambeena Resort, Darwin. (L)
Day 11 Mon: Depart Darwin
You will be transferred to Darwin Airport to connect with your onward flight (flights
anytime). (B)
