Itinerary
Day 1 Sat: Arrive Darwin
On arrival at Darwin Airport you will be transferred to your hotel
(flights anytime). Tonight enjoy a welcome drink with your crew.
Accommodation: Mirambeena Resort, Darwin.
Day 2 Sun: Darwin - Kakadu
Venture to Kakadu National Park. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre and to
Ubirr. Cruise on Yellow Water Billabong.
Camp: Gagudju Lodge, Cooinda, Kakadu National Park. (BLD)
Day 3 Mon: Mataranka
Travel to Mataranka. There will be time for a swim in the thermal pools.
Camp: Mataranka. (BLD)
Day 4 Tue: Tennant Creek
Travel through Daly Waters and see the John Flynn Memorial at Three Ways.
Continue to the gold mining town of Tennant Creek.
Camp: Tennant Creek. (BLD)
Day 5 Wed: Alice Springs
Journey to the Karlwekarlwe (Devils Marbles). Later, continue to the
outback town of Alice Springs.
Camp: Alice Springs, 2 nights. (BLD)
Day 6 Thu: Alice Springs
A free day to relax or explore Alice Springs. An optional 4WD Safari to
Palm Valley may be available today.
Perhaps join the Red Centre Dreaming
Dinner and Show. (B)
Day 7 Fri: Kings Canyon
Climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for spectacular views of Watarrka
National Park. Travel to Kings Creek Station.
Camp: Kings Creek Station. (BLD)
Day 8 Sat: Kata Tjuta (Olgas)
Continue to Ayers Rock Resort. Visit the dome-shaped Kata Tjuta
(Olgas), then enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles while watching a spectacular sunset over
Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Camp: Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights. (BLD)
Day 9 Sun: Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Morning climb to the summit of Uluru, followed by a guided base
tour.
Alternatively, you may prefer to join the
famous Liru Walk with a local Aboriginal guide. (BD)
Day 10 Mon: Depart Ayers Rock
You will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport to connect with your onward
flight (flights anytime). (B)
