Itinerary

Day 1 Tue: Darwin – Kakadu

Depart  Darwin at 8.00am. Travel along the Arnhem Highway to visit Fogg Dam Nature Reserve and Windows on the Wetlands. Continue deep into Kakadu National Park and stop at Mamukala to visit the observation platform to view the birdlife. This afternoon visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. Tonight enjoy a welcome drink with your crew and fellow travellers.

Day 2 Wed: Arnhem Land

Enjoy the Gulluyambi Cruise on the East Alligator River. Special permission has also been obtained to go ashore in Arnhem Land. Visit Ubirr to see Aboriginal rock art. (BLD)

Day 3 Thu: Kakadu National Park

This morning travel to Nourlangie Rock. On a guided walk discover an ancient Aboriginal shelter, several outstanding rock art sites and climb to Gunwarddehwardde Lookout. Later, enjoy a cruise on Yellow Water Billabong. This afternoon visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Continue to Gunlom (Waterfall Creek) with time for a refreshing swim.

Day 4 Fri: Edith Falls – Katherine Gorge

Travel via Pine Creek to Edith Falls. Enjoy the Leliyn (Edith Falls) tour with a local Aboriginal guide who will take you back in time with stories of the creation spirits that shaped the land. Continue to Nitmiluk National Park for a late afternoon cruise through Katherine Gorge.

Day 5 Sat: Litchfield

Visit the Adelaide River War Cemetery, before travelling to Litchfield National Park. View Florence Falls from a lookout positioned high above the falls. Continue to Wangi Falls, with time for a swim (conditions permitting).

Day 6 Sun: Territory Wildlife Park – Darwin

Enjoy a visit to the Territory Wildlife Park this morning. Travel to Darwin for a sightseeing tour of the city, concluding at approximately 4.00pm. You will be transferred to Darwin Airport to connect with your onward flight. (BL)
