Day 1: Alice Springs – Uluru (Ayers Rock)

You will be picked up from your hotel or the Alice Springs railway station (train not included). Travel south from Alice Springs through the ranges. Visit a camel farm where there is time for an optional camel ride (own expense). Stop at Mt. Ebenezer roadhouse for lunch (own expense) and Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Later travel to the sunset viewing area to see the sun's rays fall on Uluru while enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort – choice of accommodation.

Day 2: Kata Tjuta (Olgas) – Alice Springs

View sunrise and the changing colours of Uluru. Enjoy a warming cup of tea or coffee and biscuits before travelling to Kata Tjuta. Your Guide will escort you on a 2-3 hour walk between the valleys of conglomerate rock. The walking path is rocky, and requires a good level of fitness. Admire the native flora and fauna in the cool morning air. At the Valley of the Winds lookout there is time to photograph and enjoy the view over the central valley of Kata Tjuta. Return to Ayers Rock Resort. In the early afternoon travel back to Alice Springs, stopping on the way for afternoon tea (own expense) at Mt. Ebenezer roadhouse

Departs:   10.00am Thursday from Alice Springs

Returns:   7.15pm approximately to Alice Springs
