Day 1: Alice Springs – Kata Tjuta (Olgas)

Travel south from Alice Springs through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm where there is time to take a short optional camel ride (own expense) if you wish. Stop at Mt. Ebenezer roadhouse for morning tea (own expense) and Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon travel to Walpa Gorge at Kata Tjuta before returning to see the sun's setting rays fall on Uluru while enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort – choice of accommodation.

On Day 1 there is the option to upgrade from the afternoon Kata Tjuta and Uluru Sunset Tour (Y13) to the Kata Tjuta Valley of the Winds Walk, Sunset and Barbecue Dinner Tour (Y14), at an extra cost.

Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) – Alice Springs

An early morning start to watch the sun rise as the Red Centre becomes alight and Uluru gradually changes colour. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. Return to Ayers Rock Resort before joining the coach to travel to Alice Springs. In Alice Springs you will dropped off at the railway station in time to board The Ghan to Darwin (train not included in tour price), or your Alice Springs hotel
