Day 1: Alice Springs – Kata Tjuta (Olgas)

Travel south through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges to Ayers Rock Resort and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park. Along the way stop at a camel farm for an optional camel ride (own expense) and stop to view the majestic Atila (Mt. Conner). This afternoon visit Kata Tjuta, a unique rock formation of 36 domes that is sacred to the local Aboriginal people. Explore Walpa Gorge and then watch the sunset at Uluru while enjoying a glass of wine. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort – choice of accommodation.

Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock)

This morning is an early departure to view the splendour of the desert sunrise at Uluru. A light breakfast will be served by your guide. You may like to climb to the top of the monolith (for those with a good level of fitness) or enjoy a guided walk and learn of the Aboriginal mythology surrounding this mystical place. Continue on a guided base tour around Uluru before visiting the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Conclude the tour at Ayers Rock Resort (AYØ2) or depart in the afternoon for Alice Springs (AAØ2).
